Cant believe I'm going to leave Summerhill soon. Seriously I will miss this house very much! I've packed my stuff whole day today and am feeling sad throughout the day. I keep telling myself it's just a room and why should I feel sad leaving the room? It's weird I know but this feeling just indescribable. I looked through every corner, every little bit of this room today and thinking that I will not be back here anymore.
I've been staying here since 3rd year. Just 2 yrs of staying here making me liking this room so much ? I should have been here earlier, I should have discovered this comfy room during first year. This room is like a second home to me, ya the room is the second home as I spent most of the time in it. I think I must be crazy, thinking that I will not be back to this room anymore is making my tears rolling down my cheeks. The feeling is like leaving someone very close to you. Apart from my real home back in Malaysia, this is the first room that I'm really happy to stay and satisfied bout it.
Will I have the chance to stay in another room like this in the future? Will there be second Summerhill ? Still, I have to wave goodbye to her (My room). Will you miss me, my room?

War Time
Today went off to work quite early to take bus so as not to miss the bus again....the other day when I reached the bus station I saw the X8 (the bus I take usually)passed me by, I was like ''wat???!!! is this the earlier bus or wat? I checked the time and it just stroke 8.25am, well, the driver doesnt need to be so punctual right? '' So I was like late for 1 min. Great!!! I phoned up my pharmacy and told them I'm gonna be late for 15 mins, but the thing is the person who answered the phone asked me '' Have u been here before?'' I was like ''huh? ya'' and she said alright then.
When I reached my pharmacy and asked them who answered the phone just now and they gave me a puzzled look on their faces. Then I found out I phoned the different branch of Lloyds. =.='
Today as usual I read through the metro newspaper on the bus and horoscope that said I'll have a pleasant surprise today. It's just another working day, what's the surprise then??
My manager suddenly smiled at me and said ''Ho, I need to borrow you today'' I noticed that something bad is happening (is this the surprise?). She asked me to go another branch just for this morning because they're short of dispensers. Right. I was quite willing to do so coz I get to go there by taxi which is paid by company..haha. And it's good to change the environment awhile. The pharmacy is in Newcastle's wellbeck road.
I found out they actually do more methadone than the normal scripts. They have 60 methadone patients, just couldnt believe that though. And they use compass system, which is a crap system and I have not been using this system for a year. So I just helped them to do the methadone and trying very hard to type the labels by using the system. Do u know how crap is the system? You cant create a new patient details without entering postcode. The pharmacist asked the lady to tell the postcode but she didnt know about it as she was collecting the medications on behalf of someone. Then the pharmacist asked her to phone that patient to get the postcode. The lady straight shouted " What??!! Are you out of your mind?? I've been waiting here for 1 hour and you want me to phone a sleeping lady to ask her the postcode???!!! Just give me back the script!!! '' Another aggressive customer, haih. Well, this pharmacy is a small shop and actually everything quite new and the people are nice too. But I miss Washington Galleries sooo much!!! I miss the humour and their laughing in the pharmacy...the staffs...everything!!! So I was so glad when I got back there in the afternoon!
My tutor warned me about the ''war'' on this Saturday. Monday is bank holiday so it will be a very very busy Saturday again. I'm off on Friday so my tutor gave me some advices"Ho, just sit on the bed, dont go out tomorrow, have some tea and just stay in bed''

Bootcamp!!!
Many would think that Saturdays are quiet days for work. Well, it's not!!! Apparently I use double the usual energy to survive Saturdays. There are just me and my tutor in the dispensary. Usually there will be 1 hour 15 mins break for lunchbreak. Dont even think bout this on Saturdays, the best is return to the dispensary as soon as possible! So I was like rushing to finish my bread and went to buy some stuff in ASDA ( rushing on the way of buying stuff too). Not even the 15 mins teabreak. When I went back to the dispensary, tutor told me I can have abit longer break if I want to, coz he said they dont wanna kill me....haha...then I know that there're tons of work to do, so it's not very good to just leave my tutor alone there right? I just remember I went into the pharmacy and work till I stepped out of the pharmacy today (sweat!) "Thanks" to Lloydspharmacy, wanting to save money and try not to hire locum when the pharmacy is damn busy. The other day a locum came in when my tutor was off. He only had 20 mins break and he kept complaining bout that. "The person that arrange this certainly not a pharmacist. A pharmacist will understand and wont do this...u kno it's for patients' sake as well, if i'm not given enough break...bla bla bla...." until I really felt like laughing coz all of us were busy doing our own stuff and didnt really have time to listen and he could keep complaining while doing his own stuff also. I told my tutor this and he said ''Welcome to the real world"
My tutor said I'm in a bootcamp...haha...so need to adapt to it.....wondering will this last for 1 yr?
And now, I'm one of them.
My tutor said I'm in a bootcamp...haha...so need to adapt to it.....wondering will this last for 1 yr?
And now, I'm one of them.Another incidence is that a chinese came in the pharmacy. The healthcare assistant was trying to explain something to her but she just couldnt understand it. She bring in a painkiller gel (Ibugel) box to show the assistant that she wants that, but we didnt have the exactly the same brand Ibugel but the assistant suggested her another brand. She kept looking at me and I was looking at her also wondering should I go and have a look.
Then I went to talk to her. She speaks cantonese, well my cantonese not very fluent but still can handle i guess.
The lady: Gong guong dong wa? (u speak cantonese?)
Me: Hai (Yes)
Lady: Ngo yiu li go (pointing to the box she brought there)
Me: Li go hai yat yong ger ( This is actually the same)
Lady: Zhan hai yat yong ger? (Really the same?)
Me: Hai. Bao zhong mnn tong hai yan wai koi tei hai mnn tong ger gong si zhou ger (Yes. The package is different because it's from different companies/manufacturers.
Lady: Ngo yong ger hai zhi tong yok wor (The one I use is a painkiller wor)
Me: Hai, koi pei lei tai ker tor hai zhi tong ger (The one assistant showed u also a painkiller)
Lady: ooo...dor hor yi yong ger hai mai? (ooo...also can use izit?) And she sounds abit worry here.
Me: Hai, mnn sai dam sam, koi tei hai yat yong ger (Dont worry, they're both the same)
Lady: kei to chin ar? (How much)
Me: (Since the one she use was 50g, and the one we suggested is 20g per pack so I told her the price for 2 packs)
bat bong (8 pounds)
Lady: wah...bei ngor yat kor zao gao lar, si har yong sin (wah, just give me one pack, try using it first)
Lady: Lei hiong kong lei gar? (u come from hong kong?)
Me: Mnn hai. Ngo hai dai ma yan. (I'm a Malaysian)
Lady: Zhou tong ngo kong kwong tong wa ma ( Should speak to me early when u see me mar)
Me: Ngo mnn chi mar (I duno mar)
Phew...I was stress man....trying to figure out every single word that I said
See? acting as a translator other than working in dispensary. Stress.

Goong

Ya I know I'm late...this supposed to be the last yr's korean drama hit but am watching only now :) I have to say that it's damn nice!!! It's weird coz I dont really crazy for korean drama. Usually I'll just skip alot when I watch. Maybe this one is the environment and their clothes...but that's not just yet, the most important parts are those scenes where the prince does the things that really touches every girl's heart ! Sounds like I'm dreaming...haha...well it's good to drown in unreality world awhile after all day of working though.
Basically it's about a very young ordinary girl who's just 19 years old got married to the prince due to the commitment made by the former King to the commoner's family (girl's family as the grandfather is former King's best friend). They didnt like each other initially but ended up they fell in love with each other...ya sounds typical drama story but it's worth to watch really...the princess is very cute too!!!
I started to listen to korean songs last month and fell in love with them. What's with me recently?!! What's this sudden korean fever of me???!!!

Dr. Randy Pausch left on Friday
I really cant believe this, he has just passed away on 25th July suffering from pancreatic cancer. But he himself knew that this day would come eventually. I believe this is a big loss to everyone.
Do rest in peace and you'll be remembered forever...

Ish...
Ish... I dont wanna work on Saturdays!!! Eventhough they give me off on Friday I still prefer to work from Monday to Friday. Well at least this is temporary according to THEM. They'll decide a fixed timetable for me after this 2 weeks. Pray hard I wont have to work on Saturdays!
Plus, I really cant stand the northern accent anymore. It doesnt sound nice seriously. At times, I cant catch up with the accents if they really speak too fast. Even if they speak slower, I can understand but that doesnt sounds nice either. Worst still that I have to speak that accents as well....arghhh....sometimes they are just like mumbling something, so it's really tired to try to listen to every single word they say.
Today my main job is to pack the medication bags and labels to the patients by calling out their names. And also to look for their medication bags when the patients come to collect them. As usual, most of the time I need them to repeat their surname at least TWICE to get it right. I was giving out a prescription of buprenorphine patch, we hadnt got enough stock and usually we would do owing slip to the patients but tutor told me it's best to avoid this for controlled drugs to avoid the slip being used by another person if it's lost. So the lady came in to pick up her patch and asked me why cant she have the owing slip. I explained that "That's because it's a controlled drug, so we cant give out the owing slip." And she went like "No, we usually have a owing slip...." And I explained the same thing. She was quite frustrated and said ''Ok, fine!'' with a beh syok look on her face. Stupid me!!! I guess I was too panic and just explain what I know. How will she know that owing slip cant be given out because it's CD ! OK, a good lesson for me today. My tutor explained to her that it cant be given just in case other people nicks it. Alright that's so simple. But, there are other good patients and customers anyway. Just like to see them. Hehe. I'll feel very happy when they say ''dont worry" with a smile on their face.

New Life
From nursery to kindergarten
Primary to Secondary school
Pre-u education to university
God! Cant believe I have now officially stepped into working life.
But memories keep flashing
Kindergarten and primary school like just happened yesterday.
The very quiet huimin in primary school and yet innocent
Naughty at times
And I just realised time does fly so fast!
Just back from the induction day, it was just alright but we're given tons of things to do plus one assignment every month, need to go for development days once every month meaning I have to go Leeds every month! This is the first time, and I duno how am I going to survive for another 11 months. Basically I have to go Leeds after work to stay overnight. Then after the end of the induction day I have to come back to Sunderland in which the duration of travel is approximately 2 hours. And still have to work the following day. Imagine that! But overall the hotel was alright, unfortunately it's not in the city centre. Dinner and breakfast included. Dinner can be ordered up to 15 pounds and sent to our room.
This is not the end. I have another 11 times like this to go...
